Toilet Tent

Camping.Equipment.Camping Activities. Safety/Advice.

Toilet tent is not the most essential of camping equipment that you will require when going on a camping trip or holiday. However it is a very useful piece of equipment to own. Say for instance that you are going away camping and shall be pitching your tent in a campsite that you have never been to before. You do not know if the toilet and shower facilities in the campsite are suitable to use or if they actually have those facilities at all. Yes when planning a camping trip many of us read about the campsite before setting off and generally make our reservations if the campsite comes up to scratch on the amenity front. However sometimes we just want to be free and set off with no plans to the area we wish to visit. In this case you have absolutely no idea where you will end up or where you will be staying.

The toilet tent is not an expensive item to buy and once purchased should last you a lifetime. So for peace of mind and to be safer than sorry it is ideal to own one of these toilet tent as you will always have it amongst your camping equipment. One of life’s facts is that we all have to go to the toilet and to make your camping

Miscellaneous Toilet Tent

Toilet Tent by High Peak

Here we have a very roomy tent from High Peak. It is not the cheapest of tents out there in the market place but it is a nice looking thing and very well made. The dimensions are 165 x 165 x 200cm and weighs 3 kg. There is much moving space inside this and it is water density. To pitch this tent could not be any simpler and one thing we really like about it is the quality of it’s zip. Yes just a simple zip but an essential piece of the whole equipment. The toilet tent is for privacy and this privacy is obtained from being able to zip close the unit to enclose yourself inside privately. It is very spacious as well so if you need to move around that is not a problem at all.

Quest Traveller Toilet Tent by Quest

Here we have a nice example of a toilet tent from Quest. The dimensions of this unit are 100 x 100 x 195 cm which is perfectly adequate space for you to use the toilet and move around in. It is weather resistant and is constructed out of weatherproof polyester fabric. To support the whole unit and give it it’s shape are fibre glass poles. Fibre glass poles are very good because of their durability, flexibility and lightness. They are ideal for storage and transportation. When you buy this tent the pegs and guy line are provided. For you privacy and ability to air the tent there is a zip up and down front with fold back ties. A very nice example and fits all requirements.

experience a much more pleasant experience it is always good to have you own portable toilet inside a toilet tent for privacy. It is you who will pitch the toilet tent so there is the convenient factor there as well because it is you who will decide where you position your toilet amenity. It is not a nice experience needing to go to urgently to the toilet only having to walk or run a great distance or not actually knowing where a toilet is.

So to make your life easier and especially if you have children it is wise to invest in this piece of equipment. To purchase a toilet tent you can visit any major outdoor activity store or camping specialist store. This is a good idea as it is possible for you to see them all set up and then you can compare them against each other to see which one is ideal for you. You can of course also search on the internet in this day and age and your own leisure and read reviews and look at pictures to help you make a decision. Perhaps you would not like to have a separate toilet similar to an out house toilet in the olden days so you can check out tents which have openings and compartments that you can use to locate you toilet in. This is a lot more convenient of course but if you are like me then it’s better to have you toilet away from the main living tent. I find this more hygienic, private and much prefer to have the living tent for sleeping, eating and socialising.

When searching for a good quality and highly effective toilet tent there are a couple of points that you should take into consideration. You want your product to do the job it is required to do. Gore-tex is a very high quality material that is both waterproof and breathable and hence a material you should look for. The tent should also be double layered to be weatherproof and breathable. It is the outer layer that needs to be the most effective and weather resistant so try to find a tent with gore-tex as an outer layer. Another consideration is to have a tent with a groundsheet. We have groundsheets in our main tents for obvious reasons so it’s ideal to have the groundsheet in the toilet facility as well. This will keep the area clean and also prevent you from slipping on mud or wet grass. At night time vision is impaired and if you require the toilet at night time then to prevent you stumbling around or being tripped over there are some tents that come with luminous guy ropes. I like these and think they are a great accessories to have as not only do they help you to locate the toilet facility they also alert other people to the position of your facility thus preventing any mishaps of people falling over your toilet and destroying it.And finally if you like things to be multi functional there are tents out there that double as as toilet tent and a shower tent as well. These are slightly higher in height for obvious reasons but just as easy to erect and store and transport. It is always good to have options and choices and these combined tents certainly give you that. They are a good investment to your camping equipment to have so choose wisely and have a lifetime of use from your toilet tent.

Toilet tent shall now give you a few examples of the toilet tent.We shall give you a short written description on each example we choose as well as a picture for you to get an idea on each individual example.
