When you go camping it probably means that you will be sleeping in a tent of some sort. Depending upon where you are going, which activity you will be participating in and how many people of you there are that will be sharing the tent, pop up tents could be an option for you. You reason you are going camping is to enjoy nature at close proximity, but unfortunately when camping it is not possible to take all your home comforts along with you. But you can still try to recreate as many of the home comforts as possible when you are camping and one of the most important comforts is that of space. Pop up tents are spacious and give you that comfort very simply and in a relatively inexpensive form.

Packing up pop up tents

When you have finished camping on your weekend break or whatever use you have used your pop up tents for, packing them up could not be any simpler. Pop up tents have been specifically designed to put them up and take them down with the greatest of ease. Traditional tents can sometimes take hours to put up and take down, whereas the same tasks with pop up tents can merely take minutes.

To take down your pop up tent you don’t have to be either very strong or skilful to perform the task. There are 2 basic types of pop up tent, the first has a spring in the middle and the second is one that folds like a canopy. These canopy style versions are usually used for such things as sheltering your vehicle so we shall concentrate just now on the spring version which is the likely version that you will be camping in. On these when the spring is coiled and pressed down it forms the shape of a disc that can easily be carried around with you as part of your camping and outdoor equipment. And that is how you want it when you pack it away.

To put up the tent you must trigger the spring. So first you would stake the tent to ground especially if you are in windy conditions. Once secure you then trigger the spring and hey presto your tent is up and ready to be used. Now to pack the pop up tent away you just have to reverse the process. So on taking down the tent, leave the pegs in the ground and trigger the spring. Push down on the centre top of the tent until the roof meets up with the floor of the tent. Take out the stakes and then place the tent in the supplied carry bag or backpack that came with it when you bought it.

If you are taking down you tent in wet conditions then you have no choice but to pack the tent away whilst wet. If so then you must remember to air out your tent at the soonest opportunity possible. You don’t want to pack your tent either wet or dirty because these conditions will contaminate the fabric of the tent and encourage the breeding of fungus which will ruin your tent, or at the least prove very troublesome to deal with. When storing your tent as well try to place it in a cool dry place away from moisture for the same reasons as just mentioned.

Now putting up tents at the beginning of a camping trip are traditionally a lot of fun as the holiday is just beginning. But when the holiday is over, taking the tents down become a necessary chore but does not have the same sense of feeling or fun associated with it. So with these pop up tents , your holiday is finished and you are packed up in a couple of minutes ready to go home with your fond memories of the camping trip still to the forefront of your mind. Pop up tents for sure make a better camping trip.

E-volve Large 2 Man Pop Up Tent by Tuff-Luv

These pop up tents waste no time whatsoever for you and when you are camping at the beach, in the woods or at a festival you won’t miss out on any fun by wasting time assembling your tent. With this tent all you have to do is unzip the lightweight wearable pop up tent backpack, gently remove the safety elastic strap and your tent assembles itself immediately to full size. All that is left for you to do then is peg the tent and use the tie down straps and you are ready to go. And when you come to leave, packing the tent up again is just as easy. All you have to do is fold it down into the disc shape and place it back in the carry backpack. And that is not all that’s great about this tent. There is an internal rear vent and also screened windows so you can have continual air movement throughout the tent. To keep out the insects and bugs you have a zip up screen portal flap. Both the door and front portal of this tent have zip down privacy flaps which means that you can either enjoy the sun or the shade whenever you desire. The flysheet is made from 210D polyester that is waterproof and breathable. The seams are taped and the groundsheet is of polyethylene. The frame is very flexible and made from durable lightweight fibreglass. The size of the tent is 245 x 145 x 100 cm and weighs 2 Kg.

Because pop up tents are so lightweight they give no burden to anyone who maybe using them or carrying them. If you are car camping you can just have them on the backseat and it’s like they are not even there. But it’s with such activities as hiking where they come into their own. You can carry them no problem at all into the middle of nowhere and after a hard rigorous hike all you have to do is pop them out and you have an instant base. Surely beats trying to assemble a 20 piece tent when you are pretty tired after a days hike and all you wish to do is sit and eat or maybe just lie down. But when you think of lightweight your mind conjures up images of thin material and not strong material. But these pop up tents are actually extremely tough and durable. They are made from very high quality materials chosen for the lightness and durability. They are weather resistant and can deal with many different conditions. Certain pop up tents even have UV protection to protect you from the sun’s rays. And there are pop up tents that are available to you with coatings on the fabrics to protect from dust and grime. If dirt and grime gets into the fabric of a tent, the fabric can deteriorate very rapidly as well as having an unpleasant outward appearance.

Pop up tents are pretty basic forms of the camping tent but they do have a few very good attributes. They are very portable and lightweight tents which can be stored in their carry backpacks. If you are planning on doing a lot of hiking then these are ideal for you. To assemble them and take them down again takes hardly any effort at all and can be done within minutes. This is why many weekend campers or festival goers desire them so much.

Camping.Equipment.Camping Activities. Safety/Advice.

When camping you will always come into contact with insects and bugs. It’s an acceptable fact but there’s no harm in trying to protect yourself from them. Some pop up tents are literally insect and bug proof which can make your camping trip a whole load more enjoyable. As well as being bug proof the tents are also waterproof which is an obvious necessity whilst camping. The rain and being wet can ruin any day while camping.

Some other features of the pop up tent can include fibreglass floors which protect you from ground moisture and also have a long wear and tear life span. There are zipped doors for privacy at night time when you go to sleep and their doors always allow you quick and easy entry or exit from the tent. Inside they are comfortable too as the air flow has been thought about and many of them have mesh windows to assist with this air flow.

When choosing a pop up tent for yourself, base your choice upon the weather conditions you are likely to encounter and the space inside the tent which will be dictated to you by how many people and how much equipment has to be fitted in to the tent. Pop up tents come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours so if you go to your local camping store or browse the internet you will find one that matches your requirements.
